During the neighbourhood questioning of the church's intention to open a shelter for the winter, some flyers were created and passed out by a couple of our neighbours. Many of the questions were reasonable, simply asking for more information, verification that considerations had been made for the safety of the shelter residents (did it meet the building codes, zoning, was it safe). Other questions were asked as to whether the shelter procedures were well planned (what would happen if more people came to the shelter than the shelter could hold? Would they be sent elsewhere? Left on the street?). People wanted more information.
