Here is a picture of our child advocate, 9 year old Briar Rose Perrier, being recognized November 26, 2008 for her significant contribution to the community.

As her first Up With Women community project, she decided to make and sell bracelets to raise money for Nekenaan, the temporary Aboriginal Women's Housing project that she and her mother lived in during the first 9 months of Briar's life. She has raised $1,500 so far.

Here, Briar is being recognized by the Ministers of Housing, Aboriginal Affairs, and Infrastructure:
